Robinson shines as Hurricanes blow Wizards away

AFC HENLEY HURRICANES U15s maintained their 2026 unbeaten run with a dominant performance, winning 11-0 at Newbury-based CSA07 YOUTH WIZARDS U15s.

The Hurricanes started the game positively, and this brought dividends as Oscar Robinson opened the scoring after five minutes with a headed goal.

Henley were firmly on top in the first half and by the break, Robinson had added three more goals to his tally, Gabriel Robbins-Cherry had scored a hat-trick of his own, and the 8-0 scoreline was completed by an own goal.

The Wizards began the second half more determinedly and the Hurricanes had to switch to defensive mode. Goalkeeper George Hodges made some good saves, and the Wizards could not find the magic they needed.

The Hurricanes came back into the match later in the half with goals from Nicholas Hernandez St Clair, Rupert Hepburn and Bruce Cuzen, who scored his first goal for the club with the final kick of the game.

AFC HENLEY HOTSPURS U18s went down to a 3-0 defeat against ROTHERFIELD UNITED U18s in their East Berks Football Alliance Division 3 clash at Harpsden.

Rotherfield started brightly and went ahead after
10 minutes. AFC Henley failed to deal with a free kick from Ben Chapman and Noah Heilbuth was on hand to bundle the ball over the line from close range.

On the half-hour mark Rotherfield extended their lead when Ed Batting scored with an unstoppable bullet header from close range following another Ben Chapman free kick.

The result of the match was put beyond doubt midway through the second half when Rotherfield top scorer Fin Beckwith was played through on goal and the best efforts of the Henley goalkeeper and defenders were unable to stop the ball from creeping over the line.
