Moss is the hat-trick hero as Wargrave ease to victory

ROTHERFIELD UNITED won their first Premier Division match of the season when they defeated last season’s champions HIGHMOOR/IBIS RESERVES.

A fine team display coupled with good defending saw the Bishopswood side come out on top.

Highmoor had the majority of possession and more clear cut chances but goalkeeper Grant Wildish made several good saves to keep the visitors at bay.

Rotherfield’s goal came with 15 minutes to go when a through ball from Ed Bickerton to Max Grandison was snuffed out by the on-rushing keeper, but he could only scuff it into the path of Tom Candish who calmly lobbed the keeper and several defenders from 25 yards.

SONNING suffered a 4-1 defeat away to WOODLEY TOWN RESERVES in Division 1. Jake Sackman was the scorer for the visitors.
