EMMER GREEN booked a place in the last four of the Tilehurst Charity Cup thanks to a 1-0 win over THE MOD.

The hosts took an early lead after Luke Donegan’s cross found Richard Bennett lurking at the far post to put away the only goal of the game. The Mod went close to drawing level in the second half but keeper Mark Compton pulled off a good save to keep his side ahead.

In the final 10 minutes of the match Emmer Green had a chance to put the game to bed with John Donegan latching on to a through ball, one on one with the keeper, only to put the ball just wide of the target.

HENLEY YMCA UNITED crashed out of the Industrial Cup after going down 4-1 away to CAVERSHAM PARK VILLAGE.

Both KIDMORE END RESERVES and SC UNITED crashed out of the E Cambridge Cup. Kidmore End Reserves suffered a heavy 10-2 defeat at BASILDON BARBARIANS, with Lee White and Wayne Jenkins getting their names on the score sheet,while SC United went down 5-3 at BURGHFIELD.

In the John Lusted Cup, MAPLEDURHAM lost by a single goal at home to BASILDON BARBARIANS RESERVES.
