EMMER GREEN defeated EASTERN RANGERS 2-1 to move within three points off the Senior Division top spot with a game in hand over the WRIGHTCHOICE GROUP.

A tentative start from both sides saw little clear-cut chances appearing but the deadlock was finally broken by the visitors when Emmer Green failed to clear an in-swinging corner, which resulted in a cheeky back-heel finish from the forward.

After the break Green finally drew level with centre-back Adam Tombs stepping up with a bullet header from a Donegan corner before grabbing the winner in the final minutes when a Chris Piling cross found the head of Ciaran Crean.

HENLEY finished the battle of the basement sides in the Premier Division with nine men having failed to break the 0-0 deadlock with ARBORFIELD at the Invesco Perpetual Triangle.

After 55 minutes, Ross Gallagher saw red after a tussle with an opponent and Ollie Maskell departed with 15 minutes left.

The nine men made a determined reply as Craig Sinclair saw his shot come back of the post. After that, the Town made certain of clinging on to a point.

GORING RESERVES slipped to a 6-0 defeat to table-toppers READING TOWN leaving them rooted to the bottom of Division 4 West.
