EMMER GREEN moved up to third place in the Senior Division on Sunday thanks to a 6-4 win away at EASTERN RANGERS’ Sol Joel ground.
The fixture was one of just four matches that survived the weather across all divisions.

Rangers scored again after keeper Mark Compton made an error and Compton had no chance with Eastern’s fourth. John Donegan pulled one back with a tap-in to make it 4-3 at half-time. Emmer Green came out stronger in the second half as Luke Donegan levelled after a scramble in the penalty area.
Brendan Agnew made it 5-4 following a poor clearance from the Rangers keeper before Emmer Green netted their sixth of the game when John Donegan’s neat headed flick was turned into the Rangers goal by one of their own players.
Elsewhere MAPLEDURHAM eased to a comfortable 6-0 win away to FC BERKSALONA in Division 3 East.
