HENLEY Town battled back from two goals down against Binfield to win 5-3 in the Reading Senior Cup at the Madejski Stadium last night (Thursday).
The Red Kites were 3-1 down mid-way through the second half, despite Binfield being down to 10 men, but managed to draw level shortly before the end.
Goals in extra time from midfielder Asa Povey and forward Liam Tindell saw Henley lift the trophy.
Richard Bennett had put Henley ahead but Binfield went in 2-1 up at half time.
Shortly after the break Binfield right-back Jack Broome was sent off, for appearing to stamp on Henley wide-man Grant Kemp.
Despite being one man down Binfield added to their lead.
But the Red Kites' man advantaged showed as the game went on with goals from Sean Moore and Ben Clarke making it 3-3.
Povey and substitute Tindell then netted once each in extra-time to see the Red Kites home.
Hundreds of fans watched on as captain Richard Thomas lifted the trophy.
