Gillotts School pupil hits a hole-in-one

A SCHOLARSHIP student at Henley Golf Club won the U13s competition at the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Golf Academy event held at Harleyford.

Gillott’s pupil Max Gosby achieved his first ever hole-in-one at the sixth on the way to recording a score of 41 Stableford points off his 17 handicap.

At the same event Henley’s Mairi Weir was runner-up in the girls’ U13 event. Both qualify for the BB&O academy champion of champions competition which will be held in October at the Buckinghamshire course.

They will be joined by eight-year-old Henley junior Lauren Hilditch who qualified by winning the nine-hole BB&O event held at Hadden Hill in May.
