RETURNING golfer Tony Hayden-Cadd ran out winner of Henley Golf Club’s 36-hole handicap medal for the Lovell Bowl.
After the morning round six handicapper Alan Freke was leading with a net 68 on countback from Anthony Allen. Alan Wilson was third with a net 69 on countback from vice-captain Stewart Mills and Hayden-Cadd.
For some of the players the afternoon proved to be a challenge and Hayden-Cadd, who has just returned to the golf club after a two year sabbatical from the game, recorded a net 71 which along with his morning round gave him a total score of level 140 which was a point better than runner-up Alan Wilson.
Andrew Carmichael was third with net 143 which was a shot better than Simon Blackwell and Ian Heggie.
The ladies’ section held their monthly medal in conjunction with qualifying for the Roquette Cup.
