Petrie leads the way

MARCEL PETRIE capped off a successful season by winning the September medal at Henley Golf Club last Saturday.

Petrie took the Division 1 honours with a net 67 off his five handicap. Allan Robertson recorded a net 68 to take the runner-up spot on countback from Stewart Jennings with net 67s which was a shot better than Ian Heggie who is now reduced to a handicap of three.

Tim Bianek’s net 66 saw him secure Division 2 with the best score of the day on countback from Nick Chiswell, which was four shots better than David Voss and John Bates.

Rick Hillier claimed Division 3 with a net 68 which was a shot better than Jeff Carter and four shots better than Peter Dickenson in third spot.

The ladies’ Stableford also took place with Alyson Warren recording 37 points to take the top division which was a point better than ladies’ champion Sarah Arnold. Claire Dodds was third with 35 points.

Ngairey Palin was successful in Division 2 with a score of 38 points which was five points better than Gail Henderson and Miriam Dalton.

Division 3 was claimed by Christine Breeze with 37 points which was five points better than Patricia Melling whilst Pippa Shaw took Division 4 with 28 points on countback from Caroline Thomas.
