A REST of the World side emerged triumphant in the annual Tri-Nations competition held at Caversham Heath Golf Club.
A total of 54 players took part in the skins challenge, playing for the Rest of the World, England and Celts, with the scores being so close the competition had to wait for the last group to finish before the winner was confirmed.
The Rest of the World took the trophy with 115 skins. England finished second with 104 and the Celts were third with 90.
Elsewhere Fung Yee Sarah Lau won the ladies’ Stableford with 32 points – a creditable 17 points scored on the back nine. Kjersti Cannon began with 16 points on the front nine, but the last four holes in the biting wind proved too much, and she had to settle for second place with 26 points. Third was Jane Weller on countback from Fiona Ives, both with 25 points.
The team of Mervyn Jones, Javier Dieguez, David Holloway and Stuart Webb won the Four-Man Team Multiplier competition with 110 points.
