Searle helps side triumph

BADGEMORE Park Golf Club’s lady captain, Gill Bertram, held her charity day on Tuesday of last week

BADGEMORE Park Golf Club’s lady captain, Gill Bertram, held her charity day on Tuesday of last week in aid of her chosen charity the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust.

A Texas scramble event was competed for by 36 players over nine holes with Carol Searle, Wendy Jelden and Ann Grosfort taking the honours. The back nine was won by Jan Erskine, Kim Hawkins and Elma Grant.

Paul Fahey of the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust attended the lunch and gave a talk about the charity and its operation throughout the Thames Valley. Bertram has chosen the TVAA in recognition of the service they provide to the community and in particular to her late husband, Trevor. The day raised £550 towards the charity.
