THE last Saturday of March saw Badgemore Park record an A/B team success away at Henley by 3.5 to 2.5.
This success was not repeated the following day when home advantage was not enough for Badgemore’s Hillman Trophy team, succumbing 4.5-2.5 to West Berks, meaning Badgemore will now compete for the Hillman Plate.
In the first of the Summer Medals the Saturday Division 1 winners were Ben Travers returning a 73 net 67, six strokes from second placed Peter Foster and Robert Wickes in third on countback from Foster.
Division 2 was won by Mike Cheale with a net 71. Roger Thomas was runner-up and Mike Gross third. Division 3 was won by John McNaughton with 37 points. John Stafford was second with 36 points and Tony Browne third with 35.
In the Sunday Summer Medal, the Division 1 winner was Calum Miller with gross 76 net 71. Stuart Shurman finished in second with a net 73 and Fizz Kassam third with the same score.
Division 2 was won by John Bowers with a net 68 beating the field by four shots. Second was Les Hines with net 72 and Gary Miller third with net 73.
In Division 3 Barry Mason claimed top prize with a score 37 points. Keith Cheese was second with 31 and Clive Green third with 30 points.
