Meeting on NHS future

TOWNLANDS Hospital in Henley will host a public meeting about improving healthcare across the country.

TOWNLANDS Hospital in Henley will host a public meeting about improving healthcare across the country.

The Big Conversation roadshow will visit the hospital in York Road on Tuesday and local people have been urged to attend to share their views.

Residents will be able to talk to doctors and other NHS staff and suggest ideas on how healthcare could be improved.

The event is part of the Oxfordshire Healthcare Transformation Programme and will take place in the Maurice Tate room from 10am to noon. Programme director Damon Palmer said: “We really want the public to be partners with us in this process.

“We want people who live and work in Henley and the surrounding area to tell us their views about how we can improve NHS services in Oxfordshire.

“We cannot afford to continue providing services as we have done in the past. Together, we need to think more smartly about how we deliver services to improve the health of our communities with the resources we have.”
