THE developer who will transform Henleys Townlands Hospital into a state-of-the-art health campus has finalised the financial deal.
Amber Solutions for Care has secured a £16 million agreement with NHS Property Services to redevelop the 2.36 hectare site.
The company will upgrade and maintain the hospital site in partnership with Vinci Construction.
The site will include a 64-bed care home, which will be owned and operated by Oxfordshire Country Council and a care provider that hasnt yet been confirmed.
This will replace the Chilterns End care home which is run by the Orders of St John Care Trust.
There will also be the new Sue Ryder hospice, which will move from Nettlebed, and 12 key worker homes Mike Leto, Ambers project director, said: We are delighted to help secure the future for Townlands Community Hospital in providing a higher quality healthcare facility for the residents of Henley. The developer said costs related to the delivery of the new hospital had been offset with its use of land receipts associated with the project.

The hospital will remain operational throughout the two-year construction period with work scheduled to start this month.
