Flu jab reminder

THOUSANDS of patients have been given flu vaccinations by the Bell and Hart surgeries in Henley since September.

THOUSANDS of patients have been given flu vaccinations by the Bell and Hart surgeries in Henley since September.

But there are still some patients who should have the jab and haven’t yet done so.

Bell surgery manager Cathy Ronald said: “It is important for patients to be vaccinated to protect them against the current strains of flu as they change each year so you will not be protected if you had the vaccination last year.”

Registered patients who are over 65, or who have a long-term condition such as asthma (if you are on a steroid inhaler), heart disease, diabetes should be vaccinated, as should women who are pregnant. Children born between September 2, 2009 and September 1, 2011 can have an oral vaccination.

To book an appointment call is the Bell surgery on (01491) 843250 or the Hart surgery on 843200.
