THE new Townlands Hospital in Henley should be fully open to patients by April.

Construction work will be finished by the end of February but the building will remain closed for four weeks while equipment is moved in.

Services including the minor injuries unit, outpatient clinics and community nursing will continue to be provided from the hospital, while inpatient beds have been moved to Wallingford Community Hospital.

In a statement, the Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group said: ?NHS Property Services is working with (contractor) Amber to ensure completion is reached as soon as possible so patients can benefit from a high quality health facility at Townlands Hospital.

?All partners are working together on the transition to the new building and plan minimal disruption to patients.

?The commissioning group will continue to work closely with all stakeholders as the project progresses, providing regular updates to the public and engaging with the stakeholder reference group."
