COMPLETION of the new Townlands Hospital in Henley has been put back again.
The hospital was due to be handed over to NHS property services last week, ahead of a four-week “decant” period.
However, the date has now been revised to Friday this week, meaning the hospital is unlikely to open until mid-March.
It is the latest in a line of delays for the hospital, which is being built by developers Amber Solutions for Care and contractor Vinci Construction.
Earlier this month, the Henley Standard revealed that the hospital’s rapid access care unit is not expected to open until May.
A spokesman for NHS Property Services said: “Amber are continuing to work with Vinci to complete the facility as soon as possible.
“In the meantime, services at Henley will continue to be provided as usual from the existing Townlands Hospital building and patients should keep their appointments.”
