OUR February meeting was our annual meeting followed by a talk from Paul Barrett, chairman of trustees at the Chiltern Centre for disabled children, which was our charity for the year.

A donation was made on behalf of the club.

Minutes of our January meeting were read, approved and signed.

Speaker secretary Ann gave everyone an update on our visit to the Royal Chelsea Hospital on April 3. All we need now is some decent weather.

At our March meeting chairman Audrey welcomed a good turnout of members.

Our speaker was Sarah Loveday, client liaison manager of Signature Senior Lifestyle’s care and nursing home in Marlow.

As a dementia champion, she delivered a dementia friends information session, an initiative by the Alzheimer’s Society to increase awareness and understanding of dementia.

Sarah involved her audience in several interactive sessions which heightened our understanding of dementia. Everyone felt it had been a very worthwhile talk.

We are a very happy ladies’ club of over-60s but are always delighted to welcome new members.

We meet at Badgemore Park Golf Club on the second Thursday of each month at 10.30am for 11am and the meeting is followed by lunch.

Next month, our speaker will be Carol Bennett on “Spring is in the Air”.
