HENLEY Deputy Mayor Will Hamilton’s attempts to win friends failed to work on his council colleague Kellie Hinton.
He was explaining to members how he had attended the launch of a Friends scheme at the Henley Chiltern Centre for disabled children by TV presenter Phillip Schofield.
Cllr Hamilton told his colleagues how they could contribute, adding: “Not only will you be Phillip Schofield’s friend, you will be my friend.”
Councillor Hinton responded: “You had me until the end.”
