Road named

A BID to name the access road to the new care home at Townlands Hospital in Henley “Olympian Row” has failed.

The road is likely to be called Laureate Gardens, the original suggestion of Amber Solutions for Care, which was responsible for the redevelopment of the hospital.

Town councillors had wanted a name to reflect the town’s rowing history.
