THE deadline for applications for the next round of grants from the Louis Baylis Trust is approaching.
The charity, which owns the Henley Standard, supports charities, community groups and good causes in the area.
Its trustees meet twice a year to approve grant applications and the next meeting will be in December. Application forms must be submitted by November 7.
In the July round of donations, nearly 60 charities, community groups and good causes shared almost £120,000 in grants.
Chairman Peter Sands said: “We are looking forward to another healthy batch of grant applications from the communities served by our newspapers.
“Organisations do not have to be charities but we do not consider grant applications for individuals.
“It is always very rewarding to support the great work done by so many hard working community groups and we even hope to see some new applicants this time around.” The trust was set up in 1962 by Louis Baylis to preserve the independence of the newspaper and support good causes.
It also owns the Maidenhead Advertiser and the Slough and Windsor Express, which are produced for the trust under licence by Baylis Community Media CIC, an independent community interest company.
