THE Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) award is starting at the Eyot Centre this autumn,

This year’s courses of bronze, silver and gold awards for people aged 14 to 24, will be run by Kevin Nutt.

Two open meetings will take place on Monday, September 8 and Tuesday, September 16 from 7pm.

The award develops skills, confidence, fitness and creates new friendships and memories.

The centre has been running the award since about 2015.

Centre manager Sue Petty-Whitehead said: “We have been doing it for quite some time and we have amazing success. I am looking forward to launching this year’s course and seeing new faces.”
