A SAPLING grown from the Sycamore Gap tree has been planted by Thames Valley Police.

It is one of 49 saplings given by the National Trust to individuals, communities and organisations across the UK.

The original Sycamore Gap tree, which stood next to Hadrian’s Wall in Northumberland for more than 120 years, was illegally felled in September 2023.

The sapling was planted at the force’s training centre near Reading for White Ribbon Day on Tuesday, which raises awareness about gender-based violence.
