Shoppers flock to Christmas Festival

THOUSANDS of people braved the cold to get into the festive spirit at the annual Henley Christmas Festival on Friday night.

There were fairground rides for children, a range of food and drink on offer and shops opened later than usual.

After the ceremonial switching on of the town’s Christmas lights, the crowd sang carols.
