THE man in charge of the Henley Show says this year could be the best ever.
Mike Cannon, chairman of the Henley and District Agricultural Association, is looking forward to tomorrow’s (Saturday’s) show at Greenlands Farm in Hambleden.
There will be a horticultural section for the first time and a record number of livestock entries as well as about 90 trade stalls, a dozen more than last year.
The showjumping competition has attracted a record 38 riders, including Britons Graham and Tina Fletcher and William Funnell.
Mr Cannon, 70, said: “The Henley Show offers everything. It is agricultural, yes, and we have sheep, cattle and poultry and a very big horse section and people do come for that, but we also have vintage cars, shopping and some of the best catering.
