MANY readers driving from Henley to Peppard via Rotherfield Greys will know the T-junction with the B481 at Bolt’s Cross.
Directly opposite the exit from Greys Road is a house with these two sculpted cats on the roof.
I don’t know why this area, with just a handful of houses, is called Bolt’s Cross. Does anyone know of its origins?
