HENLEY 1sts, playing their first match of the year, thrashed Aylesbury at Jubilee Park to remain second in Division 1 of the MBBO Regional League.
Aylesbury came out the blocks quickest and after a period of pressure took advantage of lacklustre defending to take the lead.
Tony Gaze bought the sides level and despite a goal from Joseph being ruled out and some crucial saves from captain Cox, goals from Chris Green, Rhys Joyce and Jonny Taylor took Henley into a 4-1 half-time lead.
In the second half winger Taylor completed his first hat-trick for Henley while Chris Green was able to take his tally for the season to nine with his own treble.
Ross Hibberd converted good play on the wings to grab two goals as did Rhys Joyce. Richard Woolfrey capped the day off adding the 11th before the visitors scored a late consolation.
