AS part of newly promoted Henley’s preparations for the forthcoming Southern Premier League season, the side faced Reading 2nds in a pre-season friendly at Reading’s Sonning Lane ground.
As expected, Reading provided a tough test from the outset and scored two early goals after some neat midfield exchanges.
After dominating much of the first half, Reading came undone on the stroke of half time as Henley hit back with a flowing counter attack goal through Ralph.
In the second half Henley came into the game much more, with debutant Tom Walter adding pace and power down the right wing.
Foster and Mortimer started to dominate proceedings in midfield, allowing Woolfrey to slot home Henley’s second goal on the hour mark, making the score 2-2 with 10 minutes left to play.
