Hickman’s haul helps holders make progress

IN-FORM forward Serena Hickman helped herself to four goals as EHB Trophy holders Henley eased into the quarter-finals on Sunday with a comprehensive 7-1 win away to Hereford.

Henley started on the attack and after coming close on numerous occasions finally broke the deadlock on 10 minutes with a strike from Hickman.

Hickman added two more to her tally before the move of the game made it 4-0. A well hit line ball from defender Herbert was well left by forward Emma Hedges, allowing Esme Emmett to slide in, pick up the ball and lay off the perfect pass for Cleo Lyn to score at the far post.

The game continued in the same vein and despite Hereford scoring a breakaway goal Henley added three more goals through Buckham, Lyn and a fourth for Hickman.

Henley will now travel to Oxford in the quarter-finals on February 23.
