HENLEY moved back to the top of the South Hockey League’s Premier Division 2 table with a 5-3 victory at mid-table Tulse Hill and Dulwich on Saturday.

The first half was played at a frantic pace with the home side taking the lead from a short corner strike before Chris Green equalised minutes later as he deflected a pin-point Ed Foster cross.

Henley took the lead through Luke Gupta, after he was found from David Ralph’s long diagonal ball. Tulse Hill responded once again as a second short corner found its way into the Henley goal. In the second half Henley’s class shone through as they scored three goals. Gupta was on target for his second of the day after 50 minutes before Rhys Joyce netted a double in the space of five minutes to make the game safe. Tulse Hill managed a late consolation goal.

Tomorrow (Saturday) Henley host second-from-bottom Barnes at Jubilee Park (push back 1.30pm).

Tulse Hill and Dulwich 3, Henley 1sts 5
