Swinburn brace helps hit Newbury and Thatcham for six

HENLEY U16s eased to a comfortable 6-1 victory away at NEWBURY AND THATCHAM U16s.

Solid work through the centre of midfield by Cheesman and Newbold created a series of attacking opportunities for the visitors from the off.

An early goal for Swinburn from a tap-in opened the score sheet for Henley and marked the start of a series of attacks on the Newbury and Thatcham goal.

Playing upfront, the partnership of Bringmann, Swinburn, Herbert and D Cheesman provided good leading runs for the Henley midfield to target.

Swinburn added his second goal of the match striking the ball home from a tight angle. Good individual skill from Herbert, released from his start of season role as keeper, was rewarded with the third goal of the first half for the visitors.
