Popular pub re-opens after month-long refurbishment

Popular pub re-opens after month-long refurbishment

THE Little Angel pub in Henley
re-opened yesterday (Thursday) after being closed for more than a month for refurbishment.

Owner Brakspear has redesigned the Remenham Lane pub, including the restaurant, bar and lounge areas.

New general manager Andrew Wagstaff, 51, said: “We invite everyone to come on down to say hello, nip in for a pint, try out a tipple with our amazing new wine-dispensing machine or tuck in to a hearty feast, no matter what the time of day.”

Mr Wagstaff, who is originally from Essex, has previously managed the award-winning Gomshall Mill in Guildford, Surrey. Before working in pubs he served in the Army Air Corps.

He said: “It’s such an exciting time to be joining the team here at the Little Angel. Henley is renowned for its friendly locals and buzzing pub and dining scene, so to be a part of that is a real highlight.”

Brakspear chief executive Tom Davies said: “As this is a hugely popular pub among locals and visitors alike, our focus has very much been on preserving the building’s rich heritage and warm, friendly atmosphere for both diners and drinkers and at the same time improving the décor to create an attractive, inviting space for everyone to enjoy, no matter what their reason for visiting.”
