Chef Antony Worrall Thompson is to give up the Greyhound.
Worrall Thompson, 72, says it is time for some “new, invigorating blood” to take over the pub in Peppard, which he has run for nearly two decades.
David Brown, who runs the Royal Oak in Marlow, and his director of food Robbie Spotswood-Brown will take on the role, while Worrall Thompson says he will continue to provide critiquing, mentoring and consultancy.
Head chef Jamie Webber will remain at the restaurant and Alex Darke will be front of house.
Worrall Thompson said: “I’ve loved building the Greyhound into the fantastic food lovers’ restaurant it is today, but it’s time for some new, invigorating blood to take the reins and for me step aside so that I can spend more time with my family and friends.”
He and his wife, Jay, have thanked their customers and friends for their support and say they want to extend their “love and gratitude” to their staff.
