HENLEY triathlete Natasha Harris-White finished her last race of the year with a convincing win in her age category (30-35) in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Marbella, Spain.
This was the culmination of a very successful season for Harris-White who qualified for the world championships by winning the Ironman 70.3 race in Valencia in April, and followed that with wins in the challenge series world championships in Slovakia in June and Ironman Copenhagen in August. More than 6,000 athletes from around the world qualified and took part in the 70.3 world championships which started with a 1.9km swim in the Mediterranean from Puerto Banús, followed by a tough 90km bike course up to the mountain villages of Ojén, Monda and Coín with 1,900m of elevation and finished with a half marathon along the Marbella promenade.
Harris-White was the only British woman to win an age group category at the event.
