Puzzling spider

Judith MacBeth, of Highdown Avenue, Emmer Green, says: “I was puzzled by this white spider that I discovered on a Welsh poppy in my garden. I sent a photo to your Nature Notes writer Vincent Ruane, who identified it as a crab spider from the family Thomisus. He also suggested I sent the photo to the Henley Standard, so here it is.”
