Sir, — I have a question about parking. At 8.30am on Friday the car park at the York Road surgery in Henley was rammed full.
It’s clearly marked for surgery patients only yet there were only three patients for both the Bell Surgery and Hart Surgery combined.
At 8.42am on Friday one senior lady painfully struggled up from the King’s Road car park with a Zimmer frame and one senior gentleman struggled up York Road on two crutches. Neither could have got anywhere near the surgery.
The question is why? Is the surgery car park being used for free long-term parking at the expense of the people who really need it?
Having visited four times recently, there were mostly the same cars parked in the car park. As we have an ageing demographic in Henley, I suggest it’s time for the owners of the car park to do some monitoring and make sure it’s there for those who need it! — Yours faithfully,
Two Tree Hill, Henley
