Sir, — Sharp and Strong, which my husband Jonathan and I run from home in Watlington, has kindly donated our Christmas card money to the Royal British Legion in Watlington for this year’s Poppy Appeal. Every year we donate £250 to a local charity — last year it was Emmaus House for the homeless.

We are also sponsors of Watlington Cricket Club and at the beginning of this year bought them new nets, uniforms etc. — Yours faithfully,
