A TALK about Lord Byron will be held at Watlington library today (Friday) at 8pm (doors open at 7.30pm).
It will be given by award-winning author Hugh Thomson, who wrote a novel about the life Lord Byron might have led had he not died so young.
Drawing on previously unreleased papers, Viva Byron! imagines the poet cutting a swathe through Latin America, going to help Simón Bolívar liberate it from the Spanish. Tickets cost £8 from the library.
