Festival for poetry

WAR poetry will feature in the second annual Reading Poetry Festival.

Contemporary UK poets, with an emphasis on local writers, will come together to commemorate the First World War and three poets John Berryman and Dylan Thomas, born more than a century ago, and Michael Donaghy who died 10 years ago. Poets who will perform their work include Kate Clanchy, Ian Duhig, Amy Key, Jennifer Wong, Paul Batchelor and Olivia Cole.

The opening reception, Gerald Finzi Memorial Lecture and family reading are free, otherwise tickets are needed. The festival runs from November 7 to 9.
