It’s important to give a scrap

by Nigel Wigmore

It’s important to give a scrap
BEN, the automotive industry’s charity, has launched its latest campaign for the “Give a Scrap” scheme. The initiative is an opportunity to dispose of any unwanted or unusable vehicles and then donate the residual value to BEN.

This is particularly relevant to all retailers, MOT stations, repairers and service centres where customers often request disposal of these vehicles on their behalf.

“Give a Scrap” has been introduced to help the outlet and help BEN in one simple process. Working together in partnership with “Remove My Car”, the BEN scheme offers an established and hassle-free solution for MOT failures and vehicles which are just too expensive to repair.

On average a recycled vehicle fetches £125 which (for example) would enable BEN to purchase a wheelchair for a person in need.

So why not swap old wheels for new and give back some independence to an industry colleague needing their care and support?
