TOP Shadows tribute act the Bourne Again Shadows are playing the Mill at Sonning on Sunday, July 31.

Widely recognised as the tribute act producing the most authentic Shadows sound, the band will be playing numbers that featured on the Shadows’ own final tour as an instrumental band in 2004.

The Bourne Agains’ set will include all of the Shadows’ number one hits from the Sixties, including Apache, Kontiki, Wonderful Land, Foot Tapper and Dance On, as well as later hits like Rider in the Sky, Cavatina and Don’t Cry for Me, Argentina.

Recognising that the Shadows originally started their musical careers backing Cliff Richard, there will be a special guest appearance by Cliff soundalike Simon Goodall, of whom Sir Cliff himself has said: “Simon’s the first person I’ve heard who I think actually sounds like me. It’s uncanny!”

The Bourne Again Shadows’ drummer, Chris Wright from Shiplake, will be performing the Brian Bennett drum solo Little B as part of the set. The show starts at 8.15pm, with dinner being served from 6.15pm to 8pm. The Mill’s bar is open from 6pm until 11pm.

Tickets are £33, including the pre-concert dinner. To book, call the box office on 0118 969 8000 or visit www.millatsonning.com
