College boys heading for Reading

AN indie four-piece whose line-up includes two former Henley College students are looking forward to playing this year’s Reading Festival.

Sundara Karma have been likened to Arcade Fire and U2 by Guardian music critic Paul Lester.

The band formed in 2010 when all four members were pupils at the Oratory School in Woodcote. Drummer Haydn Evans and bassist Dom Cordell later studied at the Henley College.

The good news for fans of Sundara Karma is that they are third on the bill on the BBC Radio 1 Stage on Sunday, August 25.

The not so good news is that Reading Festival organisers announced earlier this week that Sunday day tickets have now completely sold out.

But weekend tickets and Friday and Saturday day tickets are still available — as are tickets for the Leeds leg of the festival.
