Festival brings out the axeman in head

HUNDREDS of people attended a rock music festival at a Woodcote school.

The sold-out event at Langtree School on Friday evening was dubbed “Langstock” and involved performances by 16 local singers, bands and musicians.

Many of the groups were made up of students at the school, including Laguna, Nancy Jane and Friends and The Tritones.

Headteacher Rick Holroyd made a surprise appearance ahead of the first set as he played his Gibson Les Paul guitar on the main stage in a packed school hall.

The school’s drama studio became the acoustic stage, with acts including singer-songwriter Bea Bartlett-Ellis and folk singer Colin Williams.
