Cullum named the fifth festival headliner

JAMIE CULLUM will be the final headline act at this year’s Henley Festival.

JAMIE CULLUM will be the final headline act at this year’s Henley Festival.

The jazz musician will appear on the second night of the five-night festival in July. The other headliners are Madness, the Beach Boys, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Paloma Faith.

Cullum, 33, said: “It should be a beautiful night in Henley — I’ve heard great things about the festival.

“The fact that it also raises money for a good cause is fantastic as well.”

Cullum, who is married to former model Sophie Dahl, is a singer-songwriter and has been nominated for a Grammy, two Golden Globes and two Brits and has sold more than five million albums worldwide.

Gill Mitchell, chief executive of the Henley Festival, said: “What better way to complete our exciting bill of headline acts than with the wonderful jazz musician Jamie Cullum?

“His exquisite voice and musical ability are the perfect match for our quintessentially British party on the Thames and we are very much looking forward to welcoming him to the 2013 event.”

The 31st annual festival runs from Wednesday, July 10 to Sunday, July 14.

Grandstand tickets to see Cullum cost from £80 to £100 and £65 for the lawn.

Tickets are on sale at www.henley-festival.co.uk
