Light bites for all to sample

AN evening of musical “Light Bites” is being offered up as the second concert in Tamesis Chamber Choir’s 10th anniversary

AN evening of musical “Light Bites” is being offered up as the second concert in Tamesis Chamber Choir’s 10th anniversary season.

The Reading-based choir will sing a selection of songs that were voted for by their fans at the concert at St Laurence Church next Saturday, March 9.

Director Louise Rapple said: “Our loyal supporters have helped us grow into a nationally recognised choir over the past decade. To say thank-you, we let them choose their favourite pieces for our a la carte season. Rutter’s playful Birthday Madrigals and Toto’s Africa were among the most popular choices, along with Bohemian Rhapsody and the Bangles’ Eternal Flame.”

Tickets for the concert are £12/£8. Box office 0118 934 3200. Singers who would like to experience singing alongside Tamesis can book for the Come And Sing workshop on April 20 when the choir will sing Chilcott’s Requiem. Contact Louise on 0118 931 4279.
