Chance to bop the night away in Shiplake

THE “Big Gig” is back!

THE “Big Gig” is back!

An evening of music and dancing organised by the Shiplake Nursery Committee was so successful last year that another has been scheduled for April.

Last year, all the tickets were sold out in two days, and committee members are urging people to buy theirs as soon as they can.

The gig, which takes place at Shiplake Memorial Hall on Friday, April 26 features local cover band Replay with their mix of rock, pop and indie tunes. They will be supported by The Plagiarists, a band of musicians from Shiplake College.

Tickets for the evening are £8 and available at Shiplake Village Nursery at 3pm or alternatively from Shiplake Village corner ship durnig their usual opening hours.

More information about the evening can be found on their website, visit www. shiplakevillagenursery.co.uk

lCorrection: In last week’s Standard we stated incorrectly that Ben Smith had played a part in a HAODS production of Les Misérables at the Kenton Theatre in 2006. The production was in fact staged by KT Youth Productions.
