Folk club re-opens with feast of fiddles

NETTLEBED Folk Club re-opens with the reformation of cult band the Bully Wee Band.

NETTLEBED Folk Club re-opens with the reformation of cult band the Bully Wee Band.

Plus, the club’s patron Phil Beer will perform a 30-minute supporting set as well as joining the band for part of their show.

The band features Feast of Fiddles fiddler Ian Cutler and enjoyed popularity in the Seventies and Eighties.

Phil Beer is one half of Show of Hands, the duo which has filled the Royal Albert Hall four times.

The gig will be on January 19, from 8pm at Nettlebed Village Club. The following week, Monday, January 26, the Churchfitters will entertain.



The group are known as a flamboyant band with a fast-paced infectious show full of fresh, original songwriting as well as rearranged songs and tunes from the British Isles.

Their vocalists are accompanied by an array of acoustic instruments including fiddle, bass, flute, saxophone, guitar, banjo, dulcimer, whistle, mandolin and musical saw!
