FOR the second year running, locally based charity Opera Prelude is presenting a summer evening performance in collaboration with Opera Holloway — an exciting young company founded by soprano Callie Swarbrick and conductor Lewis Gaston.
Singing in Italian, they will be performing Rossini’s one-act comedy
La Scala di Seta in the private grounds of a property outside Henley.
The evening takes place on Saturday, July 18, from 7pm to 9pm, with tickets £25. (Details of the venue are provided on booking.)
Fiona Hamilton of Opera Prelude said: “The charity was set up in 2010 to provide experience and fairly paid performance opportunities for some of the country’s finest young singers at the start of their careers. Our affordable, friendly and inclusive events form a ‘bridge across the footlights’, introducing our audiences to young opera singers and their art form.”
