WARGRAVE-based singer-songwriter Charlie Dore has announced a series of 10 live dates across the UK — including an appearance at the Wokingham Summer Festival on Friday, June 24.
Perhaps best known for her huge 1979 hit
Pilot of the Airwaves, Charlie’s career has also included acting roles in TV, film and comedy.
She is currently working on a new album, titled
Dark Matter, that is due for release next year, and will be previewing a couple of songs from it in Wokingham.
A spokesman for the festival, which is being held at All Saints Church in Wiltshire Road, said: “In recent years, Charlie’s work has focused on singing and songwriting and we are delighted to welcome her for a solo performance.”
Tickets for the concert are £12.50 and can be booked by visiting www.charliedore.com and clicking on “live”.
