NETTLEBED STINGERS narrowly lost out by three goals against DB Mix Up on Monday.

NETTLEBED STINGERS narrowly lost out by three goals against DB Mix Up on Monday.

In the first half Nettlebed’s defence had to work hard and the opposition pulled in front. Goal defence Emma Johnston made some good interceptions while wing defence Clare McCarthy found space moving the ball up the court and blocking out the attack. In the second half centre Scarlett King and wing attack Anna Morgan drove the ball into the attacking end, where both goal attack Totie Southwell and goal scorer Claire Priddy scored some well taken goals with goalkeeper Paula Grover making some great interceptions in defence.

However, with time running out DB Mix Up had the edge to narrowly win the match 21-19.
